Spring has Sprung at The Apple Market! The old term, “April showers bring May flowers” comes to mind whenever I think of spring. But, this year, there really haven’t been any April showers! We have had gorgeous weather and lots of sunshine, but our gardens and lawns are in desperate need of a watering since they didn’t even get a spring thaw to help them out this year either! So, my fingers are crossed that we get our April showers done and out of the way before May gets here! We have started our plants! There is quite a selection of beautiful spring colours to choose from. There is an assortment of hanging baskets, planter pots, and window boxes! A little splash of colour to help get our spirits up and get things feeling ‘happy’! Keep an eye out for the start of our vegetable plants – things will be starting up very soon! Along with the entrance of this new season comes Spring cleaning! Yes, that’s right! If you are not the average Canadian hard-core BBQer that is out in the snow flipping burgers for dinner, then get that BBQ out and ready for some summer sizzling! James has all your traditional Apple Market favourites in the meat counter ready for you to take home for dinner: fresh store-made hamburgers (available in natural beef, turkey, & chicken), freshly made chicken and beef kabobs & skewers, store-made sausages, and of course, our carefully aged steaks. Whether it’s for a BBQ weekend get together or for a weekday family dinner, we have something to please everyone! Coming soon – fresh Ontario produce! Our local growers are preparing for a big push on all their locally-grown crops! Rumour has it that asparagus is just around the corner!
