Tuesday, December 13th – Tuesday, December 27th: Donate to our local Mississauga Food Bank. We will be getting in a drum that can hold up to 300 lbs of food! We have 2 weeks to fill that drum up full!!! Let’s help our local hungry families and our local food bank. Did you know that 17% of Mississauga’s residents live in poverty, and 20% of Mississauga’s children live in poverty? The Mississauga Food Bank has recently experienced a 20% increase in the demand for food, and with no funding from the Federal, Provincial, or even Municipal levels, they have to rely on the citizens of Mississauga to help those in need. Please take a moment this year amongst all your Christmas shopping to stop and think of those families that might go without this Christmas season. Adding in another can of beans, bag of rice, or jar of peanut butter isn’t going to make your total at the checkout ridiculous. And just think of how much that might help a family who is going into this winter season with hardly anything in their cupboards. Do what’s right and help! Don't know what to donate? Here is a list of items in need from the food bank: - beans (dry or canned)
- canned fish & meat
- canned fruit & vegetables
- canned stew
- peanut butter
- rice

Saturday, December 17th & Sunday, December 18th from 10:00am – 11:00am: The Apple Market is proud to present Santa Claus! There will be story time, songs, questions, & of course, pictures with the big guy! Spaces are extremely limited, so please reserve your child’s spot as soon as possible! Please email: info@theapplemarket.ca with subject “Santa”. In that email, please include: the day you prefer and the number of children attending. You will then receive an email back from us confirming your spot and some added information for that day. You can bring your camera and take pictures of your child with Santa in the time allotted. This is a free event, but we are asking all families to please make a donation in one of our barrels for the Mississauga Food Bank, helping local hungry families! Thank you & we are looking forward to seeing you here! Sunday, December 18th from 12:00pm – 3:00pm: We’re getting you into the Christmas spirit with olde-fashioned Christmas carolers!!! Come one, come all to this heart-warming event and enjoy the festivities while shopping for the Christmas holidays!
